Brand new G55 anyone?

What kind of ******** bought a white G-Class?

G`s are cool in any color, spotted one the other day local to me and I would have never thought that army green can look cool

They just don't do it for me at all.

In white it does it even less.

I just find the G class the automotive equivalent of Jordan (not the diminutive toupee clad ex F1 boss).

No matter how much cosmetic surgery it gets it's still not attractive.

Agreed - I just don't get them and at that price they are a ridiculous proposition.

G-Wagen's look awesome. It's not the new model though, doesn't have the integrated daytime running lights below the headlamps, nor does it have the new, revised interior.

Had a look at ordering one (G350 Bluetec) to replace the GL... pricey... very pricey!

That's whole heap of money

Bearing in mind that the list price is £117,610, it would only take a few options (such as the designo leather) and a shortage of supply to justify the price on an as-new example with no waiting list.

Mind you, it does put a slightly different slant on the slogan shown at the base of that advert:

Friend of mine delivered to MB Salisbury a couple of weeks back and there was a black one there too.

Whilst I can (just) see the attraction for a real statement muscular 4x4 which is a little off the wall, that would come a fair way down in a wish list of cars I'd spend 118k on. In fact I'm having trouble thinking of any car, at this price point, which would be lower on my list.

A white G55 is so very Dubai. Sheik Mo in particular is rarely seen in anything else. While it may not be true, I was once told by a credible source he had the engine from an SLR transplanted into his for extra oomph. Probably tosh, but I hope someone is rich and mad enough to do these things.

G class is awesome in any model and colour. Even a pink 300d would still be fine.

I do love these, but the price is just crazy. I'd much rather be in a top spec Range Rover than a G when it comes to comparing costs.

Couple months ago these were available new with £15k off taking them to £103k, no longer showing on price lists as the G63 is inbound.

I guess you either love or hate these, doesn't take a rocket surgeon to deduct from my username where I lie! - probably something to do with seeing them often in Dubai and Kiev (white and black, respectively).

..and a fair bit of change too.

I just can't see how these make / hold their money.
Rarity perhaps but are they so much "better" than RR or similar?

Unfortunately I've seen my Sales Director regally f***ed by two top spec brand new Range Rovers over the last 3 years, he only bought the second one because he couldn't believe the first wasn't the exception....how wrong he was!
Electrical gremlins everywhere, batteries not up to handling power requirements, panels gaps, trim quality, ICE, Bluetooth, you name it, other than off road ability which he never used, it failed.
The second one was returned after two months for 100% refund.

The G-wagen is a military grade, body-on-frame construction. It utilizes three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature.

Looks like a third world ambulance
