I’ve seen some older threads on this so I’m hoping there has been a software update…

Does the built in Dashcam that you can activate for £200 work automatically?

If not…why the bloody hell would anyone buy this feature?

I do have the augmented sat nav…assuming that’s the thing with a half and half screen of map and camera?

Yes, I have all of that.

To be honest, I’m put off paying £200 if the Dashcam won’t start automatically.

So, if I don’t buy the Mercedes built in version…can anyone recommend one from the open market?

I was surprised when I bought it…must have been upgraded.

The augmented reality is a bit hit and miss as to who gets it on new cars due to chip shortage, mine should have had it but didnt.
Might have been optioned when new.

You’re not missing much. I prefer Google maps but don’t want to pay £300 for smartphone integration so using my mobile in a cradle.

I use a nextbase one hard wired no problems but there are plenty of threads on this subject just type in dash cam in the search

The Built in Dashcam has to be Activated every time you wish to use it! ;(

Still so, in the US they got an update that allows auto-start for the built in camera. So confusing, dashcam isn't even available for all countries in Europe.

That's EU legislation for you, some countries yes some not yes, at least that's MB s stance
