I’ll watch this with interest , not sure how much luck you will have getting a normal replacement. I think they have stopped making them ?.

Well I love the car and only 110000 miles on the clock . Could I get one made up.that wouldn't be to loud.Cheers

My C180 was sold at 11 years old with the original exhaust still intact.

Based on my experience, I would personally buy a genuine exhaust (or at least an exhaust made by the same manufacturer who makes them for MB, which is usually Tenneco).

However, if you're only going to keep the car for another year or two, then longevity isn't really an issue, just buy cheap and you'll be fine. In the olden days, Bosal was a decent budget brand, not sure if they're still around though.

Thank you

If I went for a cat back stainless steel would that be really loud ? Cheers

Our 209 is still on its original exhaust at 20 years old. The 124 lasted 23 years. If MB still offer one they certainly do last and may be worth the price premium.
