C220d CDI 2008 W204 single or twin turbo?

hi all

I’m reading a few posts but can’t seem to get the correct answer, I own a 2008 (58) C220 W204 CDI Sport Saloon. I’m wondering is this model the single or twin turbo version as I’m no the wiser

Two turbos as far as I know .

C200 CDI is single turbo and C250 CDI is twin with a larger 2nd turbo than 220 .

Thought this was the case, from what I can gather the 250 engine is slightly mapped different to the 220. But didn’t know if there was more to it on year and model etc

Map would be different due to the greater air available to the C250 .

Is the engine fitted an OM646 or OM651?

2008 C220s are OM646 single turbo. Later blueefficieny are 651 twin turbos.

First 3 digits of the engine number on the V5

If it is 2008 unless someone invented a time machine and went back and refitted a 651 then it's a 646

On the positive side: you have a duplex cam chain and no DPF...
