C43 AMG for sale, looks interesting.

Looks alright but nowhere near good enough for the money IMHO.

Small details but the badges are all wrong (painted black and badly spaced etc), rear bumper has sagged, rusty wings, mismatched cheap tyres, broken badge on the engine cover, not keen on the tints etc.

Wouldn’t bother me on a lower priced/higher mileage example but when you’re asking top dollar these things shouldn’t be like that really.

I could be wrong but I get the feeling that it wouldn’t live up to expectations in the flesh :(

"it was always dry stored when not in use so there is no signs of any rust" - so what's that on the off side wing then?
Just shows that even being low mileage and well cared for wont stop the tin worm.

Exactly.

These cars were getting rusty in the first few years of age. Time won’t have helped and some of those 55k miles must have been in the rain!

The dry stored for 3 years won’t have mattered if it was going rusty before that.

They all rust, even the nice ones :)

I must be lucky then as none of mine have and they've all been a lot higher mileage! :D

But what's actually happened to it? Sagging for no reason? It looks a state...

They sag because they are £hite. If you compare the weight and rigidity of a 36 bumper to a 43 one, you would not believe the difference.

I wonder if they sag worse if baked a little too much after respray work.

Most C43s have had paint etc.

Perhaps it shows the gaps worse being silver too?

My CLK55 front bumper had a slight sag underneath when I bought it but that had been smart repaired/plastic welded or something but not done particularly well. My local bodywork guy sorted it out properly and it was fine afterwards

Yes, mine had been repaired and sometime later it got caught again reversing out of someone’s driveway, caught it underneath

But it was perfect once properly repaired and didn’t sag afterwards
