C63 spark plugs ngk or oem ngk

NGK are probably the best plugs you can get for any application. Forget MB branding.

I get that ngk are a good plug but is there any difference in the ones they manufacture for mb?

Shouldn’t be - just beware of fakes online.

No. The ones in the MB box have the same manufacturer's part number on them as the ones in the NGK box.

Where are you seeing this. Im looking at the numbers on the boxes in the pics and can't see any similarity apart from the ngk name

The NGK part Number is stamped on the plug itself. And yes, the MB-branded and the non-MB-branded NGK plugs both have the same NGK part number.

(This is also the case with Bosch)

As an example:

The NGK park number is stamped on the metal ring as seen on the plug on the right.

Love the first e-bay advert....'7 available'..thats handy then ...for a V8 engine :p
I read that as 8 in the pack but 7 packs of 8 available, was that wrong?

Ah yes I see now after some zooming in on pictures. Thank you all for pointing this out. Obviously half price for same thing. I have to question it!

New 2008 c63 owner here and keen diy mechanic. Just struggling to get all the info I need for initial service.

Oops! Didn't spot that. My bad. Good job I am not in the market for plugs just yet .With my V8 I would have ended up ordering 7 sets of 16 plugs !:p

The price at the checkout would have brought you back to your senses lol

As reported previously, there have been numerous reports of fake NGK plugs on a well-known auction site, so be wary.

I bought from the above seller who appears to have a good track record so fingers crossed.

I'm guessing you've sourced them already but I recently purchased 8 from Euro Car Parts who had a 40% sale on, they came to approx £75 and no issues in my M156, original NGK part number, laser iridium.

Thanks i am going to order them tomorrow for £95 from MB, the car will be serviced at a main dealer and i will be providing all the Oem parts purchased from Mercedes.
