Car struggling to start when cold

All was good until I had a car accident on front end. Car was parked for 4 weeks.i started the car with jump leads. Since then car really struggles to start when engine is cold. Warm start no problem. Even when cold it starts fine with jump leads. When it struggles to start the speedometer lighting also often fades out. Anyone with any idea please? Thanks

It might help if you told us the car model, engine type etc.


If it starts from cold with jump leads then is the battery in poor condition? The lights dimming when starting is indicative of a voltage drop. Not unusual at start but check the battery for charge state.
