Carsoft 7.4

Would the carsoft software 7.4 and the relevant cables and multiplexor let you code all the options that the STAR system would let you do?

I used to dabble with VW and Audi diagnostics and the aftermarket stuff there let you do pretty much the same as the OEM stuff did.

So how does carsoft compare? Will it let you do all the cluster mods etc?

Their latest software appears to offer most things. You could always email them?

If your car's on the compatible list then its not half bad for a bit of tinkering.

I have used this software and I am wary of it. At one time when I did an adaptation reset, I lost the throttle completely and I really thought I had done some damage.

Luckily it came back. Since then I have avoided using that part of the software.

It can also push out some fault codes that are not quite true.
