Going to have a look at this soon. Very low miles for year and looks well cared for.

Anything to specifically check?

Owner has sent me this on service history - It'll be good to see my fuel consumption rocket to 20 mpg though!

I believe I am getting just over 20 MPG"

Just missing some 24" rims and a vinyl wrap.
Seems in really good condition and quite cheap for G Wagon. I think the claimed 0 to 62 in 6.9 seconds is a bit optimistic......

Well, I've never been a fan of bling, but IMO it needs bigger wheels. Paint it red, and Postman Pat springs to mind..

170 BHP & 2 tonnes? The 102 mph top speed looks about right, but 0-62 in 6.9 seconds? I doubt it, particularly with the G-class's aerodynamics, or lack thereof.. 13-15, maybe. Could make slip roads interesting.

And 25K? Ouch. Not for me, I'm afraid.

Cheers,

Gaz

0-60 in 6.9 seconds? Should that not be 69 seconds? ;)

Love the colour combination, the only comment I have is those wheels although the correct size look like they belong on a vehicle half that size :D

Can't comment on what to look for beyond the obvious, but looks the smartest example I've seen a few years. Keep us posted on how it turns out.

2580kg i am guessing it's meant to say 16.9secs 0-62 at best

One of your main checks should be to see if the front carpets are wet and try and get you hand underneath them to double check. The wiper spindles on G's wear quite badly and can lead to nasty water leaks and the sunroof can leak from rotted out drain tubes.

The spindles are very expensive and are normally a dash out job to replace. I've also heard that some spindles may have become unobtainable on earlier models.

Also check the condition of the spring cups on the chassis as they can corrode and snap off.

Rear bodywork around lights, seams and rear door...check for rust and also check it hasn't just been plugged with filler and fibreglass.

Price wise....IMHO I think they are asking all of the money for this, especially as its a Private Sale
