Hi,
My drivers window has got noticeably slower than passenger side, both dropping and lifting, so I suspect the motor. (Tried lubricating runners)
I’ve ordered a replacement, to have to hand, and wonder if anyone has top tips on door card removal, hidden screws etc. (So it doesn’t end in tears).

Whilst it’s off I’ll lube all the mechanism and check loom at hinge/ continuity etc.

Screw hidden in the air vent, you have to be careful with the seat control mech, the clip breaks easily and means it will flap about when you refit it!

The video above is good...as far as it goes.

You will have to pull all the plugs off the seat controller...they are very stiff.

Lifting the card from the top of the door is not easy...you will need plastic levers and work progressively along the top under the trim.

When replacing the seat controller do not just insert the locating clips into the slots and close...they will break. Slot them in very slowly, very deliberately getting them in as deep as possible and lifting the unit closed slowly as you push down.

In the video you can see where the clips for the seat controller have been broken previously as it’s flapping about!

Also...you will have to reach into the door to press another lever and release the bottom of the card.
