My seat belts need a good clean as they have not been cleaned from I don’t know when. Do any members have any good cleaning recommendations or techniques for cleaning them.
Thanks
Use a couple of clothes pegs to stop the belts retracting while they dry. After they have dried give them a spray with dry silicone, this will make them retract better and stop dirt build up on the webbing.
I have been warned against the jetwash technique as it could harm the integrity of the fabric and you might only find out a few milliseconds before you smash your brains out on the steering wheel in a crash.
However, I can imagine it would be ok to use a similar idea but with a garden hose to rinse them after using detergent.
