Hi, I have a 2015 C250d premium plus, and after 4 mins of driving I get a set of clicking within the dashboard, every time drive it, does anyone have any ideas what this is? Thanks
Possibly the stepper motor or gears that control the flaps in the heating and ventilation system that blends the hot and cold air to give you the selected temperature?
Star will be able to pinpoint this. Where in Wiltshire are you ? I know a very good MB Specialist
Oh jeez a stepper motor broken arm. Yes that sounds exactly what it is. The motor is trying to make the plastic arm activate a flap open/closed and because its borken its not reaching so it just keeps on trying n click click click click. When start the car put the A/C on auto. This should stop it. Put the a/c auto OFF and it should start clicking again if u set the position to 9 o clock. The footwell flap stepper motors are unfortunately common for breaking due to when the weather is extremely cold then you turn your heating up. The cold to heat to cold to heat process makes the arm on the motor break This is a whole dashboard out job to get to them It DOES go off after a few minutes does it ?
