Evening All,
I have a 56 Reg CLS CDI and it was working fine until the weekend when I went out in it and stopped a couple of times doing some Xmas shopping etc.
But then I started it and found it would not rev beyond 1500 revs and when it got there it started ‘shaking’ slightly.
I turned it off and tried again several times but was still getting the same problem.
I have recently had a actuator fitted and has been fine for the last couple of months.
There are no warning lights on the dash and it starts fine etc.
My brother is a mechanic and owns a garage and has looked at all the usual possible causes, but he has not got the Star diagnosis kit?
Has anyone got any ideas of the cause of this particular problem.

(I have arranged to get it into a merc specialist in January but would like to know if there is any else I could look at)
