Morning all.
I’m Mark and new to the forums but been the owner of several Mercedes now.
I’m looking for some help with a fault that I am trying to fix.
I have a 2018 V220 (W447) with a faulty Steering Rack/Motor. Replacement racks are free and far between but I have found a couple of used ones. I really can not afford a new one from MB.
Does anyone know if a replacement will need recoding? I suspect it will as it is an electric pump/motor.
If so, does anyone have any contacts in the North/East Midlnds area of the UK who can help with this? I’m based just outside of Sheffield.
I’ve tried DAMAS in Clowne but unfortunately they are not shut.
