Coolant loss

My son recently had the oil cooler replaced on his 2011 C220 CDi coupe.
Now he has had a check coolant level message come up.
Could it be related to something done whilst the oil cooler was replaced?

Possibly, they may have had to remove the upper radiator hose in order to get access. Check on youtube, somebody may have done a DIY and you can see they would have.
