I have CLK'03 with BOSE (everywhere), and I also think about doing something with the cassette player. It seems D2B is a no-way option, but, I am wondering, is It possible to replace D2B to MOST without cabling? I mean, conceptually, I could change the amplifier in the boot, change the head unit to a new version, and reuse the cable between the amp and the HU. This could possible, if D2B and MOST have:
* the same topology
* the same type of optical wire

on other post on forum most and d2b aren’t compa,I might be wrong search forum to check. However plenty of keyed up mem on here

protocol-wise they are 100% incompatible, the question is: can we replace HU and amplifier at the same time, but don't recable wires.
