Is there a difference between the Pure Highway 300Di and the Alpine EZI DAB apart from the choice of colour illumination?

No not a lot except the alpine runs its own S/W aswell as offering different illumination colours.

Both are the same price though.

Alpine looks significantly classier for just two little changes

But the Highway does match the Merc yellow very well.
The OLED display is also yellow as well, where as the Alpine I think is limited to white.

Thanks guys. I agree with the above. If its the same unit in essence, for me it then depends on how it matches the car it goes into. Eg highway for older Mercs and ezi for modern Mercs or other cars
