Hi,

I need some help, I'm awaiting delivery of a Thinkware F770 dashcam (front& rear) and want to do a hard wire install so I can use the parking mode.

My 2013 '63' E220 (facelift) coupe is parked overnight on the road outside my flat and wanted some reassurance if someone did a hit/run on my car.

I'm planning on following the guide in the link below for the C205. But can anyone advise the best fuses to connect to?

The power cable in the kit is 2.5m long so don't think I can hardwire into the boot & don't want to go through into the engine bay.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Slightly old thread though I had issues with both my previous C300h estate and current C300 Coupe, so posting here in case it helps.

I found all the fuses by the drivers door were either permanently live or the empty slots never live.

The only solution, in both cars, was to run a wire to the boot - with a bit of clever manoeuvring I found with the exception of the dash fuse box you can slide all cables under the trim with a trim tool without removing them.

I hope this helps some poor soul in the future

Bit of a skimp on wire length , most are 3m .

What's the arrangement with Thinkware and perm live hardwire parking mode to avoid battery drain ?
