C200 can be a diesel but can also be petrol while C220 can be only diesel. If both are diesels C200 is with one turbo and C220 is with two turbos. There is also a C250 diesel which has the same engine like the other two but with two turbos and different mapping.
Edit: Since all three are with same base engine C200 has the lowest fuel consumption while C250 has the highest and C220 is in the middle.

Those two should be the same in sizes but tbh I have no idea of which models you are talking about. C200 and C220 is too common model designation in Mercedes and could be really anything. What years are those cars? Do you have any web links for the cars in question? I never had a C class but many members had and still have and can be of much more help.
