Hi all just found out that i have a dpf after epc light came on but on more digging on the net the big question is remove or not can anyone shed any light, does and donts all the usual questions and has anyone had it removed with any problems.the reason i ask is mpg is well down compared to other s-class cdi's that i know dont have dpf's

Don't remove it as the new MOT rules that came in this year would fail your car due to the removal of original equipment for exhaust emissions.

main thing with dpf is to only use low ash oil,use the wrong engine oil and it just clogs up,continually cleaning itself,mpg drops considerably during cleaning cycle.
