E&C Classics - who are they?

Hello.
Is anyone familiar with a company called E&C Classics?

I purchased a 1988 300TE, it appears to be originally a European car, but found its way to Japan where it was sold in an Auction and brought to Canada. I bought it after that. It is a nice rust free car, about 65,000 miles. I'm slowly sorting out a myriad of minor annoyances, but quite happy with it all around.

It seems to have had quite a bit of updating done in 1996 from a basic model to a more deluxe specification. (Tempostat cruise control added, Power windows added, leather upholstery added etc.) The seats are monogrammed E&C Classics and a tag is affixed under each seat showing that they were sewn by Karen on Jan 18'th 1996. I've attached a couple of pictures for reference. Air-bag was also replaced at that time.

Just curious if anyone knows what country E&C classics was in or anything more about them.

Thanks,
Rick.

I recon its a cut and shut.

Just kidding :D

Someone probably had a donor car for tranferring all the bits.

Yes, Thanks! That is exactly who they are:
http://www.egclassic.com/ Same logo stitched into the seats. I'll have to look at the C's and G's more closely.

So it was likely an interior kit someone bought from the 'states. The other parts could have come from a donor car (cruise control is a generic Bosch unit, not a Mercedes part though) and someone wanted to update the plain car. They did a nice job and it has held up well.
