Hi All,
Advice and insight would be very much appreciated. And thanks for reading my post.
I've had an issue with DPF regen with my E220d class coupe 2015 ever since I bought it privately. Took it to a Mobile DPF specialist and he replaced the DPF differential pressure sensor and cleaned the dpf filter and did a regen and reported that the dpf filter based on the final pressure reading after the clean on my 61K mile merc is good.
But the issue still persisted and the car still doesnt want to do regen even after a 2 hour drive down to london on the M40 and back. I then took the car to a DPF doctor acredited garage and the only diagnosis they have come with is that the car has an outstanding ECU Emission recall update on the vehicle. Took the car to Merc dealership to have the emission recall update done and after the update an EML light has come up on the dash and after reading the code NOX sensor issue. Told Merc dealer of the issue and waitied 2 months for them to only say that Mercedes will not do good will gesture repair on the NOX sensor. So another issue has been added to the existing issue with dpf.
My question is now, does the NOX, adblue system affect dpf regeneration?
I also did a bit of my own research and investigation and read the live data stream of dpf and it seems like the B19/9 and B19/11 Temperature Sensor Uptream of Diesel Particulate Filter doesnt go above 300celcius (whilst on motorway drive) which from what I have read it should be in the reading of >600celcius for dpf regeneration to occur.
My other question is, could these two temperature sensor potentially be the culprit giving bad readings (which means they just need replacing) or are there other underlying issues that isnt allowing the temperature to get to 600C?
Many thanks for your advice.
