Hi, I currently wash my car with a power washer and Simoniz shampoo & wax, then sponge wash it. The green metallic is very nice but once dry the black is dull and the sills lower doors have a lot of tar on them.

What is the process and products to bring paint down to clean, tar free, and as shiny as possible, I know black can be brought back very well. To note I do not own a buffer, or is it necessary.601FE346-8FEA-44EE-A624-47C6BF9F713D.jpegA39DF4ED-89BF-4FBA-93F0-A6B1EC77E86E.jpeg

How much do you love your car??
to get rid of all the "swirl" marks you will need a DA polisher, or your arms will look like Popeye's lol. It may be worth asking a couple of local detailers for a stage 2 polish and wax, then take there advice for aftercare which would give you a great starting point to love your paint
You could get some reasonable results by using a compound followed by clay bar treatment then polish and wax, but it will not remove all of the swirls but should be a vast improvement

Spray on Tar remover
Hose it
Spray iron decontamination spray
Hose it then wash it
Clay bar
wash it
Poorboys black hole glaze

or you could use Maguiars Ultimate compound instead of black hole to bring out the metallic in the Melanite … then wash it then wax it..

I’ve been recently told by a detailer not to use a combined wash and wax shampoo . Best to use separate products . Eg ph neutral shampoo & then a wax polish . Everyone raves about the Meguiars Hybrid 👍
