One of my old E30's I used to own back then I used to love manual cars, now I hate them and can't stand them as they are so much of a chore to drive. Both my E30's I own now are automatic. But this cars spec was great you hardly find e30's with air-conditioning.

Very nice....I used to have a normal E30 years ago....just a 318i......I bought it in a hurry as I cleverly sold my Audi 90 Quattro the day before I was due to go on holiday on it....much to my missus delight! So I bought the first sensible car that was local I could find as a fill in while I looked for something else....which was a 1986 318i. I took the towbar off, cleaned it and drive it around Cornwall for the next week....never missed a beat. I loved that little car and even after I bought an A8 4.2 I kept it as a runaround. But three years later it was literally dissolving with rust..E30 were not good as far as the golden body lightener was concerned. So I put it through one of those special £100 MOT's ....ahem..... (much more difficult to get now!) and got rid. Later I took a E30 M3 in PX at work....which I bought....great car but I never really gelled with it so after a few months I flipped it on.

Hello Alfa Italia,

I had 6 e30's in total in my collection I sold 3 of them after the Covid lockdown, an Alpine White E30 325i Automatic and one of my E30 M3's the same buyer bought 3 cars. I got £40k for one and £13800 for the 325 in white & £20k for the Calypso Red one, they all went to South Africa.

I have 3 left now which I have had full restoration done on them rust cut out n welded with new panels or patches removed the deadlocks even. I have advertised the 2 of them but not prepared to take silly offers on them. One is Glacier Blue Metallic and the other is Cirrus Blue Metallic which is matching to my 635csi highline. I think they are one of the most beautiful cars in the convertible form with the E class R124 Convertibles but they have to have the AMG kit on them. I waited a long time to source one and purchase the E class as there aren't many only 500 and something was mass produced for the UK market.

The E30's are great investments now a lot of people are buying them however I just need to sell all the old cars as just way too many cars are proving to be a burden now as they require so much money to be invested into them to get ready for sale which will keep me busy for the next 20 years if I manage to sell 2 or 3 cars a year even. But I am also passionate about cars where I buy new cars and sell them after 6 months of owning them or modify Porsches & AMG's to an extent where I have started a business to do it professionally to offer my services to clients who want to transform their cars which saves me from constantly having to purchase them and then end up selling my own cars as I want to actually keep some to enjoy but end up getting offered money where its hard to say no to.

Regards

Abir

I drove one of those through my uni years in the late 90's. 88 E plate with the M40 engine. It was a good car. I still have a few BMW's in the shed including an 85 M635CSI, 88 M5 an E39 540i/6 and a 00 740il. Probably the two favorite BMW's that I've owned is an E12 528i with a 5 speed which was a delight to drive and an E23 745i turbo.

My business partner had a lovely E30 325i back in the day. In Schwartz black, full leather with rear headrests and lowered.

I had an E30 Touring Alpina replica a few months ago. Lovely car.

There’s a cabrio up my road. I’ll try and find a photo.
