Hi,

I have a really basic question. Having brought this car this year its a 2016 w212? I am looking to replace the tyres. I can see my tyre sizes on the fuel filler cap, the bottom 19inch selection. However I cannot work out which is back or front?
To compound this a link from this website to a alloy wheel site shows the front tyre as 235/35R19 Y 91, the rear as 255/30R19 Y 91.

My car has the front tyre as 255/30R19? and the rear as 235/30R19 so which is the right set up? How do I decode the filler cap information. Has my car always been wrong?

Thank you for any advice

Toby.

235 front , 255 rear Is correct.

You can't put 255 on the front btw . It would rub.

Thank you for the reply.

I assume you read the filler cap info as top tyre line front tyre underneath tyre line rear tyre to go with your post.

Thanks again

Toby

(Virtually) Any car that wears different widths front to back will have wider section tyre on rear.

Your car is a facelift on 19" and as an AMG Sport? Is it not supposed to wear 275 rears?

I suspect that your car should be (if wider rear rims)
245/35
275/30
Check filler cap and post what is says wrt 19" fitment. One of the many members will always help.

If it's like mine it will have 8.5j front and rear , with staggered tyres .

My 2014 A207 AMG sport has front 235/35R19 Y 91, the rear 255/30R19 Y 91.
If that helps.

If you look at the picture, the centre line between kPa and psi, falls under the wheel it is referring to.

Thanks for the replies,

Muckypaps I understand the front and back tyre pressures and the alignment with the wheels. But there is no alignment on the given tyre sizes on the left of this information to indicate front and rear sizes.

Thanks geoffus we have the same car that information is very helpful.
