e350 cdi starter fuse blows

hi there guys, for those that have been following, the car is back on the road after an engine replacement, running as it should

although one issue I've encountered, the 20 amp starter motor fuse located in the front SAM has blown twice now, first it blew after a week and then again yesterday after about 4 days... starter is generally strong, car turns over quick / and as it should

are there any common issues relating to this case? what should I be looking at first?

I still have the starter motor / relevant parts from my old engine which never gave me any such issue, incase anything needs replacing

any advice will be appreciated, thanks!

Are all the connections to the starter (including the ground strap) clean and tight?

Probably starter solenoid fuse/fault. Change starter...

I took it to my mechanic who double checked and suggested that all connections are fine and that it could be a failing starter

yes will change starter and see how it goes, never had this issue with my previous one

hi guys, just thought I'd drop a quick update

I didn't get the starter replaced yet as the fuse somehow stopped blowing, hasn't blown since the 9th of April, of course time will tell if it's temporarily sorted or permanently

but weird, what could've caused that then, I wonder...
