EML does NOT come on at all

CLK 280 2006 AUTO V6 PETROL.
Turn the key all light come on. Go out as the should. But the engine management light does NOT even come on.

The car starts and drives fine.

Ive got the car booked into mercedese next week. I was hoping someone may know what causes this and a fix if possible. Thanks in advance.

Previous owner has removed the bulb?
Better chance of passing MOT, tester should check it comes on but may miss it but would surely spot it if it stays on.

Hi this is not the case. Ive had a garage apparently check. It aluminates if forced by diagnostic. But they do not have STAR system. Hence booked into mercedes now.
