Am i having my first bad experience with lemforder??
I just renewed the engine mounts some 12 months ago and it feels as if I have a vibration and thud coming from the driver's side mount. Unless there is an exhaust mount between the exhaust manifold and center mount/bracket connected to the gearbox, I am forced to think its the engine mount. Thoughts please.

Did you change both engine mounts and the gearbox mounting?

I've just bought some Lemforder engine mounts. The box says made in China. First time I have seen that on Lemforder.

The world and his dog rushed to outsource manufacturing to China, as it seemed like a good idea.
The world and his dog will now be rushing to bring it back in house, as it was not such a good idea after all.

How much did you pay for them and who supplied them ?

Also '12 months ago' does not help . How many miles have they covered. ?

Mileage wise max 10k. Lemforder from autodoc

'...Mileage wise max 10k. Lemforder from autodoc...'

Same make , same supplier for me , the difference being I replaced mine 4 years and 16K miles ago and still going strong...V8 5.4 litre. From memory I think my Lemforder parts were made in Turkey 🤔.

Not sure mate . Have you done the 'get some one to rev it while you watch the engine dance' trick ?

I have and looks like its moving about a bit much. But I don't really have any example to gauge against. Suppose I can make a video and post here for analysis

Lemforder parts are hit and miss these days. In fact I can’t think of many good aftermarket brands that are consistently reliable.
For engine mounts, I’d definitely fit genuine.

MB does not make engine mounts so there must be at least one "aftermarket" brand that is as good as the MB ones?

MB specify a quality standard to be met for parts that they label and sell.
