Engine oil W203 C200 CDI OM646 (2003)

Hey all, I'm wondering what is the best oil or what MB spec to choose for my W203 Sports Coupe C200 CDI OM646 year 2003. It's going on around 165000 miles. I've read elsewhere that mb 229.52 is good but that's mainly for DPF. Mine doesn't have DPF so I'm wondering if there's any other oil grade that gives better protection. Thanks

Use Castrol or Shell lube match to find your spec unless you have your owners manual to hand.

i use castrol edge 5/30 merc spec 229.52 i have the same car but 2005 91k miles

If your car does not have a DPF (OM646, pre-PDF), then MB229.5 will be fine.
