2003 C200 Mercedes sports coupe.
When starting [not cold weather] the engine is rough, put it in drive and the car is like a kangaroo...[jumping] last for about 40 seconds and then ok..
Go for a short run and leave it for a couple of hours...still starts ok, but after say 3 hours...back to erratic start..
Has a local mechanic do a diagnostic: fault - timing chain; camshaft fuel trim; Air flow sensor..
have renewed the latter two items...but fault still there.. which leaves the timing chain or something else ?..[it had a new one 40,000 miles ago, when tensioner seized] [when it slipped and bent the valves].
When going ..plenty of power etc..
What is likely to be wrong with the timing chain ??...sounds like major surgery ?
