Hi everyone.
Of particular interest to anyone who has a car registered around the intro of Euro 6 and who has been told by (for example) TFL that their car has to pay...
After a lot of research this morning I discovered that my Diesel ML (August 2014) IS Euro 6 despite 5 years of avoiding the ULEZ area or paying the fee...
The problem boils down to two errors on the V5C, one possibly a consequence of the other...
In the emissions section, v: exhaust emissions, section v.5: is for particulates. My logbook shows 1.930
A member on a BMW forum had the same issue.... it is 1000x out, it's a typo - the car would not have passed Euro 4 like that. Grams confused with miligrams?
The entry should read 0.0019
Checking online tables of emissions types and concentrations it is clear that this is an error as no way could my car have ever been homologated if it was 1000x over the limit...
I look forward to checking the COC when I can find it, and also MB offer a letter of euro compliance for £30 if necessary.
Also, the space on my log book next to 'Euro Status' is blank- not surprising with'pollution' levels like that
I look forward to getting my log book amended, free access to ULEZ and similar, and recovering past fees from TFL...
It appears mercedes pre-empted Euro 6 datewise on my car - nice.
So if your car falls before the official date, it may be worth checking your car specs if you have been refused ULEZ.
A key clue for me was in the VIN decoder, I had:

Just admin now...
Hope this helps
