Presumably they have a sale on (when don't they!) so the codes do not work.

I think I saw merccl25 on a banner add earlier today.
I also saw another banner add with up to 50% off everything "early festive treat" which might mean all codes are off until the wider promo is over.

As of late...and with the greatest of respect to ECP staff, there seems to be an almost permanent SALE on!
Whilst on the face of it this sounds like a good thing, in reality I have found from the close monitory of prices that this is nothing more than a gimmick as the prices 'END UP' the same and no cheaper, through adjustments in 'listed' prices.
No offence...I know how it works and prices are good anyway but the manipulation used by applying different kinds of discount codes and then Sales is nothing more than a 'REFRESH' to keep punters interested and guessing as to which supplier is the cheapest.
Still a great place to buy parts but I would like to point out that we are not as naïve as you would like to think we are.
Unfortunately, Club discounts follow the same trend...they are intended to promote buyer/club loyalty by making them feel privileged and special, the only trouble is the discounts are rarely exclusive and can be easily found elsewhere....that's just how business works.

As the year ends we've really pushed the boat out and have had quite a few sales, and your right, sometimes this makes the forum code redundant. However.... During a sale there are thousands of products which are only reduced slightly, our commitment to the forum us that during a sale we'll match the forum price (if we're pm'ed)

Regarding the pricing, I want to make one thing clear.

The list price is controlled by our product dept, and not us. These prices are based on actual dealer list prices. This is updated fortnightly.

The was price during a sale is the price the product was before a sale, and the price you would pay if you walked into a store.

We try to make sure that there is an even spread of offers between new customers & existing ones, this is why we don't ram promotions down the forum members throats, we know your all save customers but appreciate that we're here to answer any questions & to match forum discount

I use ECP quite a bit, but I do find myself agreeing with every word of Paparazi's post.
Sales is sales !!

I don't use them for the exact reasons in paparaz's post, you can always buy better and cheaper elsewhere, it's just not worth the effort

For me, ECP are just too-convenient.
I drive past their Bradford front door twice a day.
Recently bought a screen wiper and a couple of bulbs.
Bulbs are bulbs ... and they supply the 26-inch Bosch wiper, which I like
Not really worth spending any fuel shopping around.
For bigger items ... or a number of items, Wunderpartz has done me some good deals in recent times.
