Have a couple of small electrical problems with this car. Electric adjustable steering wheel will not go up or down, the in and out motion is fine.
Driver's seat electric headrest will not go up or down, but goes down when moving seat forward to let passengers in the back seat, then when seat is back locked it goes up again but will not go down with the switch.
I know the guy who I bought it from let the battery go down and it had to be charged up, would this affect the working of these items?
Would doing a reset to factory settings help?
Thanks,
Michael.

These cars are quite sensitive to battery related issues. Give it a good drive and see how you get on.

As for the headrest, if it does not work after a full battery charge, it could be the switch as the motor and mechanics work if it goes up and down moving the seat.

The steering wheel could just be jammed. You have another post on this?

Hi,
Certain functions of the car can require normalizing, these can include seat movement, steering wheel etc.
This as far as I am aware can only be done on STAR.
I would get this done in the first instance as it may completely solve the issue, if it doesn't it should give you some fault codes to narrow down the fault.

Great. Thanks for your reply.

The headrest will go up and down about an inch with the switch, but no more, so I think the switch and wiring are fine. So maybe it needs to "normalize." Could I do this with a "factory settings" reset?

Fixed my headrest thanks. Moved the seat forward to access the back seat, headrest dropped to the lowest. Ask I moved the front seat back kept pushing down on the headrest button and the headrest and it stayed down. Moved the seat into comfortable position and pressed memory and the headrest stayed down. Brilliant! Thanks to all who replied, hope this helps someone else.
