Looks simple enough to change the button pack but beware of disconnecting the airbag as there will be an EML that has to be cleared with Star or a compatible scanner. Not sure if disconnecting the battery stops the EML. If in doubt get your indy to swap it over.

As long as the ignition isn't turned on whilst the Airbag is disconnected then the Airbag warning light will stay off.
Though it is recommended when dealing with airbags that the battery(s) is disconnected.
