Bit of fault code advice please chaps.

Recently my glow plug light has stayed on for a short while after starting from cold, I have ran a diagnostic with a icarsoft i980 and codes I am getting are -2133-000, 2135-000, 2136-000 and 2138-000 however says something along the lines of no description in code bank.

Do these codes relate to the glow plugs and which particular ones.

Search code lists but can't find the above.

Late 2006 E280Cdi.

Cheers

2133 I think is throttle position sensor. So is 2138 . 2135 is glow plug 3 . 2136 glow plug 4

Based on a quick look and not definitive.

I managed to find a couple of sites that list the codes and they claim they all relate to the throttle position sensor..

If this is the case would the glow plug light staying on not put a code up??

Well I had one of those i980 and it will tell you that it is whatever number glow plug has failed in plain english without codes

Yeah thats what I had seen / why I bought it. There is deffo no mention of the glow plugs though..

change al 4 ggp and see how u go . hick

Based on a quick look and not definitive.

Well I know the advice is change all 6 glow plugs, but we have in the past and we also have a current horror story running about a snapped glow plug and the head coming off,in my opinion, change the one you have too change all 6 and you have 5 more chances of snapping one.

Change all 6 , longer you leave them greater the chance of them snapping off, get an MB Indi to do it, not 100 % guaranteed that you will not have a problem but minimises the risk. You might or might not also need a new glowplug controller. Had all replaced on my E320 ( not with cheap Chinese e-bay copies )
and never had a problem since, well worth the cost to know that the chances of any further problems are very low. Change one and you are potentially back to square one when the next one fails, probably not far behind!

That is my concern zipdip, my intention was to do all six, but then thought if I can highlight the one, start with that then take it from there..
