Hi guys,

I had a question regarding a potential purchase of a used mercedes c-class (2017) and if it is possible to get information regarding the service history.

The dealer (non-mb) is unable to provide further information regarding the history as they are not the registered keeper in the V5.

Would anyone know to go about getting this information?

New here so apologies if this has been answered before! Appreciate any help

In essence you can't get the service history without the V5 in your name, but you could still try your luck with a local MB dealer of MB specialist, they might show goodwill (in the hope that you'll get your car serviced with them once bought). Alternatively, some members on here have access to the MB Digital Service Book (DSB) and may be able to assist.

When I bought my E63 from a non MB car dealer in Chingford he had the full MB history printed and collected from MB Loughton when it was serviced before I picked it up.

I was told that MB deleted service history after quite a short time. I naively tried to get some service history for a 1982 car and assumed the paper records had been digitised 😂. Oh dear, you live and learn.
