Well i have owned Mercedes cars for a good few years and never had a bill above and beyone normal servicing plus the usual brakes and tyres...

Well went in for a Cat b service last week ( 107,000 ) and bill for £800. Not alot in real terms as its just the usual £200 or so for each service every 6 months. But seems that everything needed replacing at the same time :-

4 new tyres
front brake pads ( rear need doing in 10k )
Wiper Blade
Heli coil manifold bracket plus drill out and fit new exhaust bolts ( blame speed bumps )..
plus service B charge

Am happy with whats been done, suppose i have been to used nothing ever going wrong...

sounds pretty good to me - :D

The chap who services my car said to me " when you bought this car you thought you were buying an expensive motor, when you come to my garage you KNOW you've bought an expensive motor!"

I suppose you can't feel this good :bannana: driving a nice car without some pain involved.

I have 3 indulgences that raid my wallet on a regular basis:-

1. The Merc
2. The Wife
3. The Kids

They are listed in no particular order of which costs me the most!

Was that all MB rates?

If so I would say they are getting sloppy, as you have managed to crawl away with 1 arm and 1.5 legs :D

I would say that you still have not seen a real bill yet :) god forbid you ever do :) The £1800 excluding vat and labour for a gearbox rebuild this year was the closest I have seen to one, and I was not impressed. It didn't drop on my lap this time thankfully :) and I got away with a much nicer £328 for a solenoid board instead :)
