Flat Battery Smart Key Wont Turn

Read through many of the threads on here, but none have worked,
w202 c200, midday yesterday the battery int he boot started to release some gas, so we opened the boot and took the battery out which was v hot, left the battery on the side for a bit to cool down,
someone closed the boot in error and we cant get it opened,
hooked the car upto another car in the engine bay terminals, also tried hooking it up to a booster pack and another standalone battery.
i put the key in the ignition, but it wont turn, the dash lights up with the mileage and trip, if i turn the lights on they work no problem, i cant use the boot release button inside as it does not function,
the car/remote key does not lock/unlock the car, and we have no way to get into the boot, that has no battery inside.
the bigger headache is that the windows were partially open when this happened and have no way of closing them now, as the car does not respond to the remote, and the internal switches dont work as the key wont turn

Any ideas??

Use the valet key to open boot .

tried, it wont turn, put wd40 in it, and no luck,
tried a second key and same problem...

Are you sure you are getting a good contact with Positive & Negative, this should work,, even if the battery is absent from the boot. Key must be out of ignition for this to work.
