Hi All. On My E/Class E320 CDI, When raising the front end to replace the Brake Pads, it slipped off the jack and dropped with a bit of a Thud, could this have bent the upper Wishbone, as I have noticed, that having 9 inch wide wheels, that the upper ball joints on both sides, seem to be over the tyres, as is shown in the couple of snaps! Is this Normal ?

No, it's perfectly normal. The upper wishbone moves upwards with the wheel, so the ball joint maintains more or less the same clearance.

Have a think about the forces involved when you hit a bump at motorway speed or beyond. Slipping a few inches off a stationary jack is not even remotely comparable.

Axle stands are your friend. 😁
