GLC Boot liner - how to remove the netting

Bought a nice boot liner for the dogs from Premier Products. Their liners are brilliant, but one area I can't fit is the cubby hole on the left of the boot. It has the metal cage for the netting - the boot liner had holes, I just can't figure out how to remove the metal cage/netting.

Pics below - I have tugged at them, held in tight!

Squeeze the bars at the top in and they’ll pop out

Damn, did think that. I have a busted left shoulder, so might have to wait or find a willing mate! Only had the op a week ago.

There's a 3 step way of doing it
1) push the bottom section (2 clips) forward into the pocket and they'll pop out
2) pull the left (rear of the car) out
3) now swing the open end towards the front of the car - you'll see from the pic that there is a curve to the other end of the bracket.
