GLC Tailgate not operating as it should

GLC 2016 (X253) Tailgate not operating as it should.

Generally operates OK apart from:

1. When tailgate is open pressing the close and lock button the tailgate does not close and all the closed doors do not lock.
2. With all the doors locked and the tailgate closed using the tailgate handle to open the tailgate does not work unless I unlock the doors first and then the tailgate handle will open the tailgate.

Any suggested solution to my problem would be most appreciated.
