I have had several sets of various makes over the years. The extra light thrown on the road will be governed by the quality of the reflectors. They worked well in my Jag, but were of little use in the CLK. Eventually I did a projector unit upgrade into my existing light units. Another issue with them is working life is shorter than a conventional halogen bulb.

I tried both Pillips and osram night breakers, just avoid the cheap stuff.

Not Plus, not Unlimited, not Laser, but Silver.

Good compromise between bright white light and longevity.

The ultra-bright ones tend to not last very long.

Osram night breakers are excellent and you really notice the difference

I used Nightbreakers in the vans and found them pretty decent. They didn't last as long as 'normal' bulbs, but then I probably did far more night driving than average.
