Hi Guys

Hope all is well
My Mercedes c class H and brakes or the foot- handbrake seems loose. You really need to press it real hard, for it to work on a steep slope
Is it easy to tighten it? And if so, is it an easy job or something complicated? As I intend to go to a small town garage
Please do advise

Mel

No it's not 'easy to tighten' . You might be lucky , but it's a nightmare design , we are currently discussing on here , search my posts to se just how bad it can get if you are particularly unlucky .

Especially on a W203 C class

It's a Mercedes c class K kompressor 180
2008 model
Would it fail an MOT? It’s due shortly

First place to start is by adjusting the rear handbrake shoes. Adjustment is by using a flat head screwdriver or similar through the a hole in the rear disc.
