You will probably need a new windscreen with rain sensors and multi function stalk plus electrical nightmare and costing a fortune for little benefit.
Have auto wipers on CLK and they don't work very well.

Aaaargh! Connector is different !!!! Wiring has 4 pin connector, new sensor only has 3 pins
Guessing this is from the fact that my car is right on the change-over from separate rain sensor and light sensor to the combined (and current) rain & light sensor. So is the extra wire I have the separate...

Hello and welcome. I have 'Auto' rain sensing on my 2006 W203 C55 , they are OK but sometimes have a mind of their own and either start the wipers for what appears to be no good reason or do not speed them up when it's pi$$ing down.
The car has a OEM MB windscreen so maybe the refractor needs recalibrating (if thats possible, it is on some of the machines I work on ) , if the function was not on the car I certainly would not bother (myself) trying to retro fit it. I wouldnt miss it.
