Hello

My name is Jonathan.

Previously I've had a CLC and a B Class and I am about to purchase a 57 plate CLK 350 Cabriolet.

I plan on keeping the CLK for a number of years as a weekend car and something to spend my life polishing and just staring at! I have spent about 12 months looking for the ONE that should be a keeper and I think I have found it now.

I am aware of the Balance Shaft Gear issues that can affect the M272 engine and I have asked the dealer to check it for me. However I am hoping someone here can give me a second opinion, the engine serial number is: 2729 60 30 734294.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the information guys, I now know the car I want is clear from the worst of the issues. I look forward to posting some pictures of my new (to me anyway!) CLK on here very soon.
