Hi all,
My first post here and looking for advice. Apologies if you have heard it all before and happy to be re-directed to other threads site etc.
I am looking at a 98 R-plate 300 TD saloon. Its in a garage as a trade in offered at £3500 with no warranty. It has got 92K with a full service history (mostly MB dealer). Sadly I have the mechanical expertise of a school girl, but thought about getting an inspection on it and it seems reasonably priced. At that age /mileage is there anything to look out for?its got some rust bubbles on the front wings.
Any views? are they generally a reliable car? 35 mpg is realistic on a run? Are they as expensive to fix as the nay-sayers suggest? I hope not as I really love the look of it!
Also are there any MB specialists in /nr Fife in Scotland.
