Starting to get disheartened with an oil leak on my CLS, its my wife's car and I am getting serious grief.... The car is a 2017, V6 diesel, with 50k miles on the clock. I started to notice some fine oil splatter on the underside rear of the bonnet on the right hand side above the turbo, and oil splattered around the turbo area and the car then went into limp mode. So far my mechanic has changed the PCV valve, and the big red turbo intake seal. I drove it last night 15 miles on the motorway and it went back into limp mode. I took the following/attached photos showing that oil is still appearing where it shouldn't. I am not a mechanic, nor am I mechanically minded. I just spoke to my mechanic and he said that there is no oil sitting in the V of the engine. Any advise please on where the oil is getting in, and any areas that we should look at next would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
John.

Was both red seals changed and the new rubber ring that comes with the kit. Also there’s a certain way the red seal sits and air vents can be a bit fiddly to get to sit back on correctly. Very simple to do these seals just get them checked again every is in place as should be as there can be oil in around those which could if not sitting ok drip off .
But I’m sure someone knows more than me will give you some other advice.

Also, the green seal that is replaced when the aluminium turbo pipe is removed and refitted can easily get pinched/nipped. That might let some oil vapour past?

Edit: in fact, is that around the end of the aluminium pipe?

There is a green o ring seal where you are indicating the leak is coming from . It’s pretty simple , under an hours work to do

You managed 3 identical threads somehow buddy .
