I have a number of lights on the dash which I have diagnosed with my Autel Maxicom Mk808

1. Under ESP Fault 56FE The driving Test failed?
2. Under CDI - common Rail diesel Injection Fault 2679-4 Componant B76 (Fuel filter water level sensor) incorrectly functions. Signal is faulty. My filter does not have a sensor built in? and I have changed it as well.

I have tried to contact local Mercedes specialists but none working during the lockdown.

Vehicle is in limp mode and the above will not reset.

Any help much appreciated.

regards

Colin

What has been changed? IF fault codes are right, it seems something in ESP, which required test drive procedure. Can be done by SDS. Car shouldn't inquire component which is not coded, either code decipher is wrong, someone has messed with coding or car has originally had water sensor type filter but previous owner has 'saved'... Can you see plug for sensor nearby filter? I am still not sure if that would trigger a limp mode.

Hi Thanks for the reply.
The van stood for quite a while about 7 months. I have replaced the battery. It also had ABS Sensor warning on for approx 10 months but this did not seem to cause and issue. I replaced the ABS sensor and reset the fault then went to take the van for an MOT on driving it went into limp and the new faults came up. There was never an issue with the water in fuel and the filter never had any sensor as I did the job myself. I have had the van for approx 3 years and nobody has messed with coding on it.

Thanks again
