Have you checked the handbook to see if it is under the Convenience settings?

Have you tried going through the Settings menu on the instrument cluster?
I am sure you can turn it on or off from the Convenience settings, hopefully not a Star only "feature" !

Thanks for the welcome, I’ve just put a quick intro on too. I’ve trawled through the settings but if it’s there it’s well hidden away as I can’t find it.

I think the new alarms are programmed to beep on locking. Should be able to turn it off with Star diagnosis which any good MB indy should have.

I am surprised MB do not use hieroglyphs at times the way the menus work, it may need to be turned off via Star, did you buy it from a MB dealer? If not do you have a local MB independent specialist near by?
If bought via MB ask them to turn it off as a goodwill gesture.

I had the audible closure alarm on my car for almost a year before I stumbled across the setting to turn it off. It will be there, just scroll through when you have a bit of time to waste.....and welcome to the forum!

It wasn’t bought through MB but there is one close by. If I don’t crack it before the next service is due, I’ll ask them if they can do it for me. Thanks.

There is setting within the vehicle settings, accessed via the main dash / steering wheel buttons, to able/disable audible confirmation of locking the car.

Unsure what you mean?
Do you know how to get in to and navigate through the Settings menus using the steering wheel buttons?

I accidently turned mine on while messing with the menu, think it was in the convenience settings, so you can do it yourself.
