How to check if a W213 has Burmester speakers

Hi,
I have put a deposit down on a W213 only to find out (looking at potential mods for the car) that you can buy fake Burmester speaker covers...
I'm a 50-minute drive from the car so can't go back to look at it until I go up to pay – I have the VIN (WDD2130042A494449) and when looking on CarVertical I cannot see option code 810.
Have I been duped?

Ive looked it up on the central Mercedes database. That car does not have Burmeister.

Could have been fitted after the even of course so not on the card.....but probably not. I saw those speaker covers on Aliexpress the other day.....less than a tenner!!

Unfortunately your first post seems to be ending on a negative . You could ,I suppose, email the seller and get your concerns down in writing and negotiate a bit of money off the asking price ?

It's likely (unless a main MB dealership) the seller could also have been duped into thinking it had Burmester . You do not mention if it is a dealer or private sale.

Assuming you are buying the car from a dealer…

Was the car advertised as having the Burmeister audio option? Or did you discuss the apparent presence of that option with the seller when you viewed the car and did they confirm it to be present? If so then potentially that is misrepresentation and you can reasonably demand your deposit back if you don’t want to proceed with the purchase.

If the seller was silent on the matter and you’ve just made an assumption that the option was present, then there’s not much you can do other than appeal to the seller’s good nature.
